With our Urban Zen trunk show around the corner, we asked founder Donna Karan a few questions about her favorite pieces from the season, what she thinks every Dallas woman needs in her wardrobe and why she started her foundation. Starting today through Sunday , please join us at Number One for the Urban Zen Trunk show and styling event.
Stop by Five and Ten as we participate in Highland Park Village’s Elements Fall Fashion Event for Men. We will have drinks by Austin Cocktails and vintage vehicles from Next.
Number One presents Urban Zen Fall 2014 trunk show and styling event starting this Thursday, October 2nd through Saturday, October 4th.
We are falling for all the new men’s arrivals. It’s all about the subtle details you’ll find such as the brushed oxfords with metallic sheen from Maison Martin Margiela, a deconstructed wool tweed blazer from Lanvin, and a chronograph watch from Givenchy with a crocodile leather band. You won’t go unnoticed in these must have pieces.
We are seeing black and white all over with the latest assortment of our chic new Fall arrivals. These new monochromatic pieces have unique elements, textures and shapes elevating the classic silhouettes that we know and love. We have printed pencil skirts in houndstooth with a scalloped lace hem from Sacai, Lanvin snakeskin panel cut-out cuff, microtwill pleat coat from Victoria Beckham with side chain hook fastening – everything you need to live in B & W.
Everything is coming up roses for Marni. The SS15 collection celebrated the brand’s 20th anniversary in a very Marni spirit with a one-day massive pop-up flower market that was the talk of Milan Fashion Week. They sold live flowers that guests carried away in planter-slash-purses designed in archival Marni prints and mini totes with all your gardening gear. The market opened after Castiglioni’s runway show, which embodied unique combinations of experimental, graphic, and feminine silhouettes that appeared to be picked fresh from the garden.
It’s a Barbie (Moschino) world and we are just living for it! Jeremy Scott delivered yet another iconic show this season with Mattel’s famous plastic doll as his theme for SS15. The first model appeared in a larger than life platinum blonde wig, wearing a bubblegum pink shrunken leather jacket and zip-up mini skirt. Scott made childhood dreams come true by creating a wardrobe straight out of the Dreamhouse. In fact a capsule collection was available immediately after the show and is already here at Forty Five Ten. Time to play dress up!
Booties, heels and flats, oh my! New shoes have arrived at Forty Five Ten and this season what you wear on your feet will be making the statement. It’s all about the details with cut-outs, metallics, and exotic materials. From studded Saint Laurent mid-calf boots to Maison Martin Margiela‘s geometric heel open toe booties, we have every shoe you will need for Fall.
